It's already happening went a different route on this one seeing the camo goes to the lower wing I painted the parts before assembly like when I was kid.The process of taping off the bottom,glue the wing,then remove any seams and repaint seems to be working.

Berny I painted everything on the trees and then removed the wing/fuse sections to clean up the gates.I then taped off the bottom of the wing and built the Wwells and assembled the wing.I felt it was important to get this procedure out of the way with the camo curling under the wing.The main radiator under the fuse has the sides painted yellow sand but the bottom is RLM78.The only area under the plane that is RLM78 is the wing portion so do this and no masking later just small touch-ups here and there atleast that's the idea.

I had time for more progress on the Tamiya F2A. I painted the insignia using Oramask 810 material cut on the Silhouette. Aluminum foil is nice for gross masking, its ultra clean, inexpensive, and you crunch and it holds shape.

Did you paint the tactical camo on the tree? I can see this approach would work well on a modern kit that fit essentially perfectly and needs no filling, like the new Tamiya kits. I'm going to try on a future build.

I painted the sand yellow Joe the smoke rings are decals.

Luft belts none supplied all I had.
