Next a Yokosuka E14Y1 '671-08' 6 Kantai Fuzoku Teisatsutai. Easy to build kit and out of box decals that were despite fine looking the worse for wear.

There are so many of these 1/72 kits. I am sure I will never get to all of them. These are the pre-covid kits I started building. Thank you for the kind words!

I went on a buying binge just before COVID knowing that it would be harder to buy when I retire. I'm currently looking at tools now though I have most of what I need. Micro punches and chisels are currently the next purchase but the postage and Canadian dollar are killing me at the moment

I feel postage has gotten worse as time has gone on. When people want you to pay $15 USD for a 1/72 kit in state, that\s insane! I can't imagine how high it is up there. I do know it is slower to get things.

Nakajima Ki-27 Otsu 26th Sentai. The kit is from the Hasegawa Nomonhan Aces Combo (just a release of ancient molds) kit and the decals from Lifelife, excellent decals!! They love to include many tiny details for the aircraft.

This seemed like a great idea until I realized the red pattern is in many pieces you have to arrange. It took a while to apply the red flame look. This one is a Aichi D3A1 'BI-231' from IJNS Soryu November 1942. The kit is from Mister Craft. It's okay, but I wouldn't get it again. I still have four more in the stash. The decals were from Print Scale and adequate. You have to take great care because they will fold in a hot second. The final result was well worth the two plus hours spent on the flames.

Two of the 2019 builds finally have their decals. A Kawanishi E7K1 IJNS Kinu 2nd Japanese-Chinese War January 1937. It's the very old Hasegawa kit and decals are Print Scale.

No rigging on either one. The second one is actually the E7K1, but I cut off the front section and added on the engine from the parts stash to make it a E7K2 Kawanishi E7K2 'DIII-I' IJNS Sendai Invasion of

Malaya December 1941. The decals are also from Print Scale.

The other 2021 kit is the Pavla version of the Kyushu K11W. They are known for being difficult. No pins and the usual need for putty. This is a Kyushu K11W of the Tokushima Ku 1945.
