Currently working on Eduard 1/48 F6F-5 kit. Using a bunch of resin aftermarket and some 3d printed parts such as landing gear and rocket stubs. Folded wings from Wolfpack, cowling from Vector, and cockpit from Aries. Added bulkhead and tanks behind the seat from the Hobbyboss kit, which needed to be cut down to fit the Eduard fuselage. Engine is out of the box with brass wires added for spark plugs.

Surprised you you could hack that much of the HB parts to fit the Eduard. After their F4F I was surprised at how they got the width of the fuselage on the Hellcat so out of proportion.

Nice work so far.

I have not built a cat kit since I was in highschool, but saw this one and could not resist and spent some time this weekend working on it.
It's almost the exact car (except for being an SS) that I went down to Daytona Beach my freshman year in college.
It was a nice change from building aircraft and went together surprisingly fast and was very nicely detailed.
The last picture is just test fitting the body.
