Got this bad boy last Friday and moved everything off the bench. Cockpit is really really great. Me its allot better then the Hasegawa and Academy. My only beef with ZM is no pilots. The fit is perfect . Kit includes other parts for another F-4 variant . I believe ZM is doing a F-4S next . Now to start getting some color on the interior . Stay tuned folks
A little more progress . main wing assembled and again nice fit. I had to use a little vallejo filler on the ares under the wing where the launch cables hook. The wing root area fir is perfect no filler will need to be used at all !! Really enjoying this kit
Finally got the intakes and engines dry fitted . Fit is really nice . I never knew the engines was installed at a angle . Curious as to why ? Intakes to airframe fit it pretty nice .
I use the Vallejo filler for small areas . Which works great , once applied i use q-tip with rubbing alcohol and take excess off. Or i let it dry and use sand paper
Very nice..engines usually offset to compensate for torque and thrust-line issues in propellor driven aircraft..not sure why a jet engine would be mounted offset and in any case. Maybe something to do with the vortices created by the airframe vs the thrust-line? Strange.
