I would love a kit of this. A weird aircraft indeed. There seems to be some kind of "strut" between the engines and the fuselage.

Looking at the shadow of the plane in the first pic in post #4, it does not show anything however, in the very first pic there is something between the left engine and the fuselage.

Have you guys seen the cut-away of this plane? If it is to be believed, it had like a dining table on the bottom deck towards the front.

More pictures showing a better view of the strut between engine and fuselage. Second is from tests with a solid nose and no dorsal turret. Line drawings follow the photos.

Indeed, so much so that you can appreciate just how ugly they are in every shot! From some angles that XB-21 with the pointed nose looks like a Ventura on steroids.
