Hello everybody,
This is my first start to finish build here. I picked this kit up a few years ago cheap, not even realizing it's a snap-together. But it will be a nice simple kit after completing a more involved Eduard B-25.

Well, I say simple but I couldn't resist adding leftover photoetch belts from the B-25 because the cockpit didn't look right without them. Then because I did that, I felt I had to saw open the canopy to see the cockpit better. Because it's too thick to mount the sliding part properly, I had to order a vacuum-formed replacement, which is where I'm at now.

Painted the camo today. This is my first time airbrush free-handing one. The scale made it more challenging and there was definitely some learning going on. I meant for the dark grey to be a little darker, but since it's not meant as a "serious" project I'll just go with it.

Both the greys are based with Vallejo Neutral Grey, mixed with their Sky Grey for the light shade and Tire Black for the dark.

Done!
First of all, thanks for the compliments. It's nice to get feedback from other modellers.

I did the exhaust stains with Vallejo Tire Black with a touch of straight black. It was another first, free-handing that with an airbrush. Trigger control was really touchy and it got away from me a couple times. I'm using a Badger 150; are other models and brands any easier?

I took the new-plane freshness off the paint with burnt umber and black oils, thinned with white spirit. I'm really happy the white spirit didn't eat through the satin varnish.

I'm not at all happy with the hand-painted spinner, nor with the canopy frames, but it's good enough for normal eye distances. I want to move onto the next project, a simple diorama for the B-25. I've got a few items for it here already ;).
