I am trying to convert a 1/72 Walrus into a fictional plane called the Vickers Vandal and it had an Early Napier Lion engine. Sadly there are no 1/72 early model Napier Lion engines except in kits so I am trying to find engines that look alike the early models of the Napier Lion.
A few months ago I moved my whole stash from my closest to the attic. I live in a temperate place which can get fairly hot in the summer and cold in the winter which has led me to question if that was a wise decision in the first place, especially considering decals. I plan on storing these kits...
Hi guys, new to the forum and enjoying it. I have also fairly recently renewed my interest in modeling and have put together a small fleet of 1/72 model airplanes with an emphasis on fighters and 'light' bombers from the crucial early to mid-war period. Say June 1940 - June 1943, but I'm...
Being looking around the net I have found a couple of MicroMir (МикроМир) 1/48 kits of the soviet UT-1 ( Яковлев УТ-1 ) training/aerobatic plane. All kits are of the same set of sprues basically. Also there is a PE set included. The differences are just decal markings and the PE sets ( depending...
Good morning and Happy New Year everyone!
I would really love to get some advice from the group. I am approaching the finish line on a vacuum form model of a Ki-21. I am very proud of how it is going so far and plan on entering it into competitions in 2016. I researched the heck out of the...
Does anyone know of any 1/48 scale RAAF PTO P-40K decals?? I've looked at all the usual suspects but can only find decals for RAAF MTO birds. Only 40 examples of the K model served with the RAAF in the pacific with the vast majority of these seeing action with 77 sqn in New Guinea. It is this...
P51 Mustang, a photo from California, West | TrekEarth
Do any of you know anything about this particular Mustang? I would like to build a model based on this P-51. I'd like to find as many pics, and as much info on this plane as possible. Mustang models have been done to death, especially...
Hi all!
Had an hard time lately trying to detect "who flew what" about Zero during last year of war.
My main reference is quite generic about specific model, always mentioning it only as "Zero".
It looks that only few units flew A6M until war's end:
205th Ku
252nd "
302nd "
352nd "
381st "...
Hello again, It's been about a year since I've posted anything. I've had a lot of irons in the fire, but have had a bit time to model. I finished this up in October.
I should be able to post an A-10 Warthog in a couple of weeks, if I dont muss it up.
