Well, I just remembered I have this top colors book on the P-38. I was thinking about the picture I posted in Don's P-38 build and it suddenly dawned on me. I think I have this book. Went sifting through my references and there she was. I bought this book when I was going to do the Academy P-38. It has some nice schemes in it.

Base coated in Stynlz rez grey then sprayed with Tamiya AS-12 diluted with some Mr. Color Rapid thinner as I plan to do some chipping on it.

Got the OD on her tonight and started the chipping that many of these well worn aircraft had. My OD of choise this time was Mr. Hobby Color Olive Drab. I really like it.

Thanks Guys. Chipping done on port side. I faded the colour a bit too with some Olive Drab and Tamiya Field Grey. You can see the difference between the wings and the front of the engines and nose which are in the original Mr. Hobby Aqueous Olive Drab.
