Thanks Guys. Gave some parts an initial spray today, it's a bit damp weather wise so it's a long time drying, so will give it a second go tomorrow.

Back on the P-38 folks.

After working out where I was at with this build I decided to start on the bits that should not be there. On the under wing we have the compressibility flaps (red arrow), one each side and four booster fuel pumps (blue arrow) with an extra panel (black arrow). All added after my model which is a 38J-10.

Compressibility flaps removed, I'll tackle the rest tomorrow.

Moving on I've been fiddling with all the cockpit parts, lots of lovely resin, plastic and PE. It just needs a bit of dust to dull it down a tad.

With luck I may get this together tomorrow and in between the wings with an eye on where to add some weights.
