Thanks Buddy. Happy with it so far. The Vallejo acrylic paint gets easily marked with finger grease. So I have some Mr. Hobby GX Clear flat so I sprayed that on so I can handle it with my greasy paws more easily rather than having to wear latex gloves all the time.

That B PONY is really looking great . I also am working on the same kit. The Tamiya P-51B is my favorite Tamiya kit

Your first image is from an original WW2 vintage color transparency, not a B&W that was colorized. I first recall seeing it printed in a book about the 4th FG, "Escort To Berlin", almost 40 years ago. Yes, I'm old.

Thank you! It just had that colorized kind of look to me but either way, it's a good shot!

Thanks guys. I gloss coated it and painted on the yellow circle with the mask from the lifelike decals. I will post once I get the decals on.

Great work, can't wait to see the finished product! Dom Gentile was a hero of mine growing up, I built a 1/48 of "Shangri La" as a kid and a couple of 1/72's.

It looks like your excellent work will do him justice.
