Your first image is from an original WW2 vintage color transparency, not a B&W that was colorized. I first recall seeing it printed in a book about the 4th FG, "Escort To Berlin", almost 40 years ago. Yes, I'm old.

Thank you! It just had that colorized kind of look to me but either way, it's a good shot!
Nah........you're not old, just well seasoned like me. lol
 
Great work, can't wait to see the finished product! Dom Gentile was a hero of mine growing up, I built a 1/48 of "Shangri La" as a kid and a couple of 1/72's.

It looks like your excellent work will do him justice.
