Hey folks,
Finally finished the second of the series of my WW2 "Defense of Singapore" builds. It's my rendition of the Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIb used by the 232 Sqdn RAF that flew in the defense of Fortress Singapore in 1941-1942. This unit (BE2308, O) was flown by S/Ldr. Richard ("Rickey") E.P. BROOKER.
The original kit was a Mk.I and needed the following modifications to turn it into a Mk.IIb version, namely;
1) Extended engine cowling;
2) Engine flange;
3) Longer spinner;
4) Flared exhausts;
5) Four outboard guns;
Added details;
> Rear view mirror;
> Wire aerials;
> Wing-tip aviation lights from clear sprue;
> Custom decals;
Paints used were Mr Hobby acrylics, weathering with Mr Hobby weathering pastels, Oil wash and finished off with Mr Hobby flat coat.
