USS Abarenda AC-13 (1898-1926)

Anchored in Pago Pago harbor, American Samoa, off Goat Island.
Abarenda was station ship here between 1899 and 1902.

USS Rigel AD-13 moored at San Diego. The raked masts and smokestack behind her belong to USS Buffalo AD-8. Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, USN, served as CO from 17 June 1931 to 30 September 1933. He has signed this photo.

USS Tarazed AF-13 off Boston Navy Yard, 19 May 1942. The 3"/50 guns fore and aft are all on deck, as is the 5"/51 gun on the stern.

USS Tarazed AF-13 heads east toward Gibraltar as Commodore of convoy UGS-33 on February 13, 1944. The convoy reached the Gibraltar Strait, 2 March 1944, without incident.
