In circa 1963 at Silverstone I spotted this one-off special that entertained the 'Formula Libre' class around Britain's road circuits. Chris Summers had a tube-framed Lotus 24 chassis, and found a Chevrolet 283 inch V8 that British Petroleum had been using in its research dept. He put one and one together. It was a beauty, and big Chris Summers could barely squeeze into it. In 1963 very few cars smoked their tires, but Chris l.aid a haze from the start line to Abbey corner. 'Formula Libre' was the UK equivalent of America's 'Run What You Brung'.

Lublin R.XIII F ... here the another shot of her. The aircraft was a part of educational/technical aids used by the Non-commissioned Officer's Flight School for Minors in Krosno ,1938-1939 .
