Does anyone know of a model of either I-1, I-21, or I-25?
I-21 and I-25 were active around New Zealand, and I-1 was sunk by HMNZS Kiwi and HMNZS Moa off Guadalcanal on 29 Jan 1943 (giving the Allies their first access to Japanese Navy codebooks)
(According to Uncle Google, Nichimo do a 1:200 I-19, which people are converting to I-25, and AFV Club do the 1-19 and I-27 in 1:350)

Just found these, originally from 1973, reissued in 2025 with new gun moulds.
Aoshima 1:700 I-1 and I-6.

IIRC you may find these in the Aoshima /Fujimi/Tamiya waterline series or a cardboard one ... Kartonowy Arsenał, Haliński 1/100 scale I-25 or Military Model Haliński I-19. The plastic Nichimo I-19 1/200 scale kit. I believe the I-21 and I-25 can be also made using the 1/200 scale Nichimo kit or the cardboard ones by Haliński because both the I-19 and I-21 and I-25 were of the same B-1 Type submarine class.

Found reference on Scalemates for a 1:700 HMNZS Kiwi and Tui (which can be renamed Moa if you add a 20-mm Oerlikon to the bow). If I can ever find that set, I will do a dio of Kiwi ramming I-1.

Nice. It fits the scale of the Aoshima /Fujimi/Tamiya waterline series. However I would make them all froms cratch in the scale. Not sure but it seems the cost can be much lower. I have somewhere a book titled "Mikroflota" by Stanisław Katzer. He describes how to make waterline models of ships in 1/400 scale. A very useful tutorial with drawings of many vessels from all eras.

Yes the whole stock is sold out. But it can be found at the eBay site. But the price seems to be not acceptable often. Anyway see your PM box, please.
