Geo you can just about do the Spitfire prototype with the old Airfix 1/48 Mk I kit only need to scatch the tailskid and folding wheel covers i believe

In fact i am sure i have the two bladed watts prop and canopie parts needed if you have a MkI kit already

And leave off the exhausts, making a panel with 'slots' for the exhaust ports, to fit over the recess for the kit part. Plus a couple of minor panel lines here and there.

all true mate, but i'm sure i've seen a pic of K5054 with the MkI exhausts attached and i've read that she also had putty applyed to all panel joints so they shouldn't be seen anyway ?

Yes, exhaust trials were undertaken, leading to the 'saxophone' exhausts later fitted to the Mk1. Forgot about that !

yes i think that has the extra bits in as i dont think its a new tool kit rather a re box of the old kit, but like i said i have the prop and canopy for you if they are not in the box Geo

I see that Airfix will release a Lancaster B.I (F.E.)/B.III in 1/72...
ICM a 1/48 Dornier Do 215, followed by a Do 17Z, the Do 215 being a B-4.
Hmmm......a 1/32 OV-10 Bronco from Kitty Hawk, interesting!

Me too ! A lot of work is needed, along with the Squadron/Falcon vac-form bits, to get the old Hobbycraft kit looking right.

Convair F-106A and B Delta Dart, plus Dehavilland Hornet F.1 and F.3 in 1/48 from Trumpeter sounds interesting, most I look forward to the Westland. Whirlwind....
