According to the media here, a P47 Thunderbolt crashed in the Hudson in New York.

They just mentioned all this at the Jones Beach Air Show.

Plane was from the American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport.

Was doing a photo shoot for Fox with the AAM P-40 around the statue of liberty when he had engine trouble.

Army Golden Knights will have a segment to honor him.

The P-40 was flown by Thom Richards, the pilot of Precious Metal. They were doing some fly overs earlier in the day. Sad news, condolences to the pilot's family.

Saw on the news where the plane has been raised. Considering the fact that plane appears to be virtually undamaged, unless he was unconscious when the plane sank, he should have survived.

Obviously a guess, but that's what I was thinking. So tragic.
