Here's a question for you Chris...
What's the name of the song, that has a very bad version, to me it sounds like that anyway, of When Johnny Comes Marching Home at the end of it, organ or zynth.....
It annoys the h*ll out of me, everytime I hear it, because it sounds like someone who's tonedeaf(?), trying to play this old Civil war song.

Think it's something about run through the hills or something, where you find it..

Well the only song that comes to my mind about run through the hill is actually Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden. If that is the case, and you think that Bruce Dickinson sounds like he is tone deaf, then there is no hope for you...;)

Bruce Dickinson is an amazing singer, who can reach so many different notes and is known for his operatic style, and being one of the most well known voices and singers out there. If you think he is tone deaf, then it is obvious you just don't give him a chance and think so because it is not Buddy Holly. If that is the case you should be a little more open to different music styles. I understand that it may not be your choice in music, but life and music did go on after 1965 my friend.

You may not like Bruce Dickinson, but don't insult him by calling him tone deaf.

Is this the song you were referring to?

And now that I am no longer on my 2nd shift crap, I will continue with my daily dose of metal. For today's installment, I shall include an Iron Maiden song. Oh my this wonderful tone deaf singer.

No, no, not all mate, far from mate! Usually have a radio station on at night, one which plays a lot of classic rock and rock n roll, which is a lot better than Simon Cowell(?) mob, quite funny looking at some old farts listening to House, Drum and Base etc...trying to be cool!
That's how I survive the dark hours, classic rock! :D
Either way, it's an alright tune, didn't I say that, sorry if I didn't mate....
It's just When Johnny Comes Marching Back Home is one that I really like, sung on both sides of the Civil War and I just thought, think, that it sounds weird....maybe it's just me!

Still don't know which is best, Metallica or Thin Lizzy's Whiskey in the Jar!

saw machinehead once when they were support for Metallica. Wasn't impressed by their music, but we had. Great fun.

I have been a big fan of Machine Head for many many years and loved most of their music. Live I have always enjoyed them as well. I have seen them a few times at their own shows, a few times at summer festivals and I also saw them twice when they were support for Metallica in Europe.

I personally like them a lot, but music is naturally subjective to each and everyone's own opinion. There is no right or wrong.

I will be seeing Machine Head next week. We are going to a day long festival with:

Rob Zombie
Five Finger Death Punch
Amon Amarth
Mastodon
Machine Head
Battlecross
Children of Bodom

and several other bands. Should be a good time.
