I just started this so don't know how relevant it might be, but it may well be so:

Unfortunate that they didn't send more. Spain had 239 Leo 2E and 108 Leo 2A4. I understand they don't send Leo 2E (although it would be nice), but I wish they send a higher number of Leo 2A4.Why is that unfortunate? The Ukrainians will get any Leo 2 shooting straight no matter what the Dons have done.
Comments such as "...criticized the Baltic States over human rights ..." makes one think he is laying groundwork for attack of Baltic states
We also saw Ukraine take out four or more fighters in a few day span. WTFO. Is their Radar Warning Receiver equipment not working (then they shouldn't be near hostile SAMs). It's almost as if they didn't believe their equipmen. Neither is a good sign for the Russians.
Nice insight.Maybe russian pilots are also confused by Franken SAMs, they detect S-300 radar sigs but do not expect Patriots to use those signals. Or the S-300 radar is used to "mask" Patriot radar emissions
Their SAMs would be the threat. Thanks for weighing in, Buff - much appreciated.
I've seen recent comments about how the A-10 and F-16 would be in trouble in the current situation in Ukraine, but to be entirely honest, I do not think the Russian Air Force would be able to counter Western trained Ukrainian pilots in Western equipment.
That's assuming rational thinking is happening and there aren't other things involved including actions designed to make the likes of NATO tear themselves apart.A small detail here is that the Baltics have no airforce, so NATO is providing the necessary capability. There is a permanent deployment where NATO countries keep rotating to provide such service.
An attack to Baltic states means directly attacking those deployments. Until November it was a Spanish and Italian Deployment. Since November its Belgium+France+Poland. I don't think it will be any good for Russia to mess with Poland.Baltic Air Policing
NATO takes its responsibility to ensure integrity, safety and security of its airspace very seriously. For member nations that do not have the necessary air capabilities, agreements exist to ensure...ac.nato.int
Ah. An Eats, Shoots and Leaves moment. I suggest the following edit: Unfortunately SpainUnfortunate that they didn't send more.
