2:56 the UAF are training 10-12 hours a day, six days a week. While a warm bed and safety is better than the frontlines, it must be exhausting.

5:18, few UAF tankers have likely ever driven that fast in reverse.

Russian tanks do about 4kph backwards, Western tanks can often hit 40kph
Also, gun depression - its only 4 degrees on a Russian tank making hull/turret down firing almost impossible. Western tanks have typically 10 degrees or better

My favourite Leopard fast forward, fire and fast reverse vid. Also using the advantage of depression.

re Russian conscripts surrendering

From a previous post: ""All of Vlad's forces and all of Vlad's men, are out to put Humpty together again."" This still applies to areas where the Chechen units are involved.

Also, the regular Russian forces have their own 'enforcer' troops in theater, particularly in the Easter areas.

Plus, it is one thing to want to desert, it is another to surrender to the opponent, and it is another to maybe have to kill a fellow countryman in order to desert/surrender.
