What has been the best Metal band since 2000.

Well my favorite is Metallica and for they are still the greatest Metal band to ever make music so I voted for them again but bands like Trivium and Godsmack have been making some great music.

If there is someone not on the poll that you like let me know and I can add them.

I spent some time last night going through the bands listed and the albums produced during the last 7 years, and NO ONE comes even close to Sevendust....

Metallica???? Fu*ck that, their 3 albums sucked ass chunks...

Disturbed?? LMFAOROFL..... Shows how much u fags know about Metal... They suck.... "Lets re-do a lame ass Genesis tune..."

Machine Head, Mastodon, Lamb of God.... Now those should be some bands gettting votes....

If Disturbed is Metal, Im a freakin crack addict...

The Sevendust stuff, especially their new album Alpha, blows anything else out of the water right now....

Thanks. I was writing down all these bands off of the top of my head, so I know I forgot some. Sevendust is a great band!

Disagree. Different but not ass sucking...

Have to agree. I think they are pretty boring. There first album was allright but I dont like any of there other stuff.

You should check them out, they are really great. They are sort of oldschool.

MySpace Videos: Children Of Bodom - Everytime I Die by MetalHead_Lynch

Agreed as well. Mastadon should be joining Machine Head and Lamb of God at Rock im Park in 5 weeks. I cant wait!

Speaking of Rock im Park. Korn just announced that Joey Jordison of Slipknot will be behind the drums for them this year at the festival. That should be pretty cool!

    Agreed!

Bodom border more on progressive metal with a raw edge. Definite black/death influences however Dimmu Borgir are true Black Metal, also Satyricon.

The Bodom stuff sounds pretty good, although the vocals is alittle over the top with the gutteral stuff..

Great guitar riffs with a strong Dream Theatre sound.... Best in Metal????

    Nope....

Sevendusts music goes beyond the normal Metal grip with some decadent transitions and harmonizing that make it so goddamn unique, it sometimes amazes me what they do....

Very hard choice, I'd probably go for Through the Ashes of Empires, SOAD's Toxicity, or maybe Maiden's Dance of Death or Brave New World
