Here's an old Airfix Blenheim IV in 1/72. Not a bad kit for its age except for the canopy.

Good work on a ropey kit. It was a border line kit even when first released, in the 1960s. Matt, the nose glazing is supposed to be more or less that shape, as it 'dips' down to the port side. But the cockpit canopy in the kit is very badly formed, a sign of the available tooling technology of the day, and thick plastic.

Yeah I was familiar with the shape, but the canopy mould is overly large and thus the unavoidable seams. Any larger and it would have just swallowed the fuselage.

You're right. I built this kit a few years ago, for a friend's Dad who flew Blenheims, and moulded a new canopy. I also seem to remember correcting the engine nacelles, and quite a few other mods !
