Hello, I have a little question

Ho was the biggest ace to flew by the RAF ?

Some fonts tell that are Karel Miroslav Kuttelwascher

Other fonts tell that are Josef Frantisek

I think that are Karel Miroslav Kuttelwascher, but now I''m on doubt..

Can someone help ?

Wiki says Kuttelwascher 18 victories or possibly 20.

Frantisek's record is 17+1 (confirmed+probable).

So Kuttelwascher had more kills but in my opinion that's not enough to say that one pilot was better than the other.

Kuttelwascher is usually reckoned to have the higher figure but for obvious reasons Frantisek is the more famous. If Frantisek had not died so tragically young he could well have been the number 1 non German ace of the war.

The European pilots who risked everything, there lives and there families lives to carry on the fight and fly with the RAF will always have a special place in British hearts and we will never forget there help and loyalty to a country that wasnt theres.

In terms of victories, Karel Kuttelwascher was the most succesful pilots. I believe he shot down 21/22 enemy aircraft, most of which at night.

I've found his story told in many sources on the net.

here are some sources:confused::
