What's the difference between the Measure 31/9D and 32/D....same design, different number of colours, 3 vs 5?

On Dazzle - Home when looking either USS Philip DD-498 (MS 31/9D) or USS Saufley DD-465 (MS 32/9D) I'm getting back to this one, even when clicking on the 32/9D link....

All is correct Jan. Both 9D camo patterns are of the same layout.The difference is the the Haze Gray and the Light Gray colour. While the 5-H was for the Measure 31, the 5-L was for the Measure 32. The info is in the text there.... Dazzle - Design

"Measure 31 colors: dull black (BK), ocean gray (5-O) and haze gray (5-H), but by substituting light gray (5-L) for haze gray (5-H) on the vertical surfaces a ship would be in Measure 32."
