I lost most of the b&w shots from the 70s and 80s in a house fire in 1991. I still have the negatives.35mm, 126, and from a twin lens reflex. I can scan the slides and 35 mm. I may end up sending the others out to be scanned. Thanks for the likes. I will post some naval planes and bombers later. I have cd from Thunder over Michagan when they had a gather of 8 or 9 B17s. Three or four have since crashed. Walmart has a block on the CDs and I cannot download or print them unless a go through an old website. Ggrr.i need a hacker.

I hate losing photos/slides/negs.
Coincidentally, back in 1992 or '93, I also lost photos and 35mm transparencies, due to heavy smoke damage and residual heat from a fire in the apartment below where I was then living, in an old "country hall" type building.
Around 2,000 or more slides were lost, mainly aviation pictures, I'd taken over a period of about 15 years, along with colour and B&W prints and negs, some dating back to the mid 1960's.

I understand. The pictures and the memories of the events.

Thought I would share some interesting photos from 2005. Any thoughts about why the photos look out of focus when the originals are clear?
