Thanks very much chaps.
Finally got all of the main airframe decals in place, although there's still a small shed-load to apply to the pylons, tanks and Sidewinders. Also got the main landing gear done, ready for attachment after the clear coat is applied, and the thrust nozzles and heat shields done.
PIC 1. Shows how the model looks to date, including some of the detail painting.
PIC 2. The tail number, sourced from individual 'press-fix' decals from the spare decals files, and the serial number, from home-made decals.
PIC 3. Many of the very small stencils are 'low-vis' grey, and don't show up very well here - which, of course, is what was intended on the real aircraft.
PIC 4. The main landing gear assembled and painted, although some slight touch-up is needed after handling. Note that the landing lamp and taxi lamp have yet to be fitted to the nose wheel leg.
Next step, once the decals have fully settled, is to apply a semi-matt clear coat overall, followed by the remainder of the detail painting, then start fitting the pylons and landing gear.
Hopefully, I'll have some more progress pics sometime over the weekend.
