Glad to see you up and running Robert.

Agree with the other Guys the Marge image is definitely an enlarged Photo.

Some years ago a magazine did an article on Marge and included reproduced 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 photo's for models, I should look for it as it's in a pile somewhere....
The one on the decal sheet is somewhat wimpy but usable. But I would be interested in where to acquire the 1/48th size reproduction if you find the info!

Thanks for the good wishes!

I can't abide Coke either, and ice in drinks is silly - they put water in it when they make it !
BTW, 'Scottish White Wine' is my term for whisky .................

That's true. You may mix it with the C-stoff. But you have to use a light touch if you don't want to call home for help from another side of the Earth.

Your correct on the P-38 not being original, it happens to be about 20 minutes down the road from me so if you want walk around pictures of it I could probably do it this weekend if your interested. Here is a picture of it out in the sun at Airventure 2014

Also if you are interested in Dick Bong you might find this book interesting written by General George C Kenney. I haven't had time to read this one yet but on my list of things to do so for now it sits on a shelf in my library

Thanks for your kind offer of walk around pics! Would love some but not if its out of your way. Particularly of the Superchargers and Wings, all the scoops and doodads that provide detail! I saw that book in Barnes and Noble the other day, at least I think I did. Am heading back soon so I will look for it! Again thanks!

I decided to start by masking the canopies. It is my least favorite thing to do so might as well get it out of the way. I noticed a lot of flash on several of the tree's. Included one with some spectacular flash for illustration. Also noticed the canopies have a couple of defects. I think I can polish them out however.

The below tree has some rather impressive flash, I think the molds are starting to show their age...

Hmmm noticed that part #12 the Hinge Retainer is totally malformed. I might be able to build a replacement but I went ahead and ordered a replacement part from Revell. Have yet to actually receive anything I ordered this way but it has only been two weeks since I ordered the replacement decal sheet.

This will not stop the build at least short term, on to masking!

Thank you! I replied earlier but either I replied to the wrong thread or the forum gremlin ate it! I seriously appreciate your offer of some walk around shots. Anything you can get would be much appreciated, but please don't go out of your way to get them.

The book looks familiar to me, I believe I saw it a week or so ago at Barnes and Noble and I am heading back there soon so will look for it. Thanks for the recommend!

No problem, going to see if I can dig some up today in my folders, took this one that same year so might have a few shots laying around you can use :)
