Nice work on the reduction gear(s) housing, Glenn. And, I agree with you on the Tamiya kit being the cat's meow. I do have a couple of Academy kits, but I have far more Tamiya kits, whether they are razorbacks, D bubble tops, or the M.
I finished up the cockpit last night and am pleased with the results
1) The Seat of the "N" was the only P-47 model to have arm rests to relive pilot fatigue on the long over water flights. The kit didn't have these so I made them up from the butts of the .50's that were supposed to go in the gun bays 2) The finished seat with Eduard PE seat belts 3) Assembled box of the cockpit 4-7) Completed cockpit
Nice Work Glenn. Looks great. That head rest is funky. Was it on some kind of spring or adjustment mechanism that allowed the pilot to adjust its angle?
