I'd make a steel colour Karl. But the fairing would be RLM 65 like the rest of the underside. If you really want to be accurate, it's actually 2 loops held together with spacers.

cheers Andy, did have a look at your thread but wasn't able to tell, though i thought it did look like a dull mteal colour.
kit part is fine, not going anywhere near two loops !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok here's the offending canopy part, all clear parts are done, tomorrow have to attach the main gear bay doors, landing light lens and paint the last of the little pieces i attached on friday

Good stuff old boy. If you run a bead of PVA along the joint, rubbing off any excess with a wet finger tip, it'll seal the joint, and can be painted to match once dry. Hey presto - a joint-less canopy !
