None of those gents pictured was Bill Leonard . . . besides, at the time, he had a mustache. And none, not one frame, was taken aboard USS Yorktown, it was all shot on USS Hornet, some days after the battle by John Ford's crew. I can identify for sure John Bain, Jimmie Thach, Art Brassfield, Dick Crommelin, Walt Haas, and Robert A M ("Ram") Dibb, but, alas, no Bill Leonard . . . he usually tried to avoid such activities.

You might note that some of the shots are repeats of the same person but from a different angle.
