Lots of scratch building.

Here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am hoping I can finish this one by the deadline!!!
This will be built as the last of the 34's in my old squadron HS-4, San Diego. The photo was provided by a Sqn member of that time on our FB page. I am unsure if it was quipped with SONAR or passenger seats. As HS-4 was at that time an ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) Sqn, I should build the Sonar station inside along with the transducer, kind of like I did with the SH-3A I did for another GB. It's a lot of fiddley work.

When i was little a was taken on a flight by one of those. I remember the noise. Am i right in also remembering there was a fuel tank in load compartiment ? Any way i will follow this one for old times sake.

Well I worked on the pilot seats.
If this is any indication, this is a cracker kit.
Fits and finishes are the best I've ever worked with!

Both new pieces in-place.
Discovered Why they didn't include the collective controls.......... no room!
I had to Make room for them.
Also added a box above pilots head, it's in my ref pictures.
And added a little pad to bolster the PE panel face, it's very thin!
I's all fitting very well!!!

Funny thing, we complain about "fit" but never consider that tolerance stack is a problem for our models in that quest to add more detail!

Well....... I MADE it fit!!!!!! Arrr arr.
I have Never had anything go together so fast and so easy,
even with the collective controls.....
Navy cockpits were a light gray!
Kit shows the foot peddle bars backwards, they were just foot bars hung by the left side, kit shows from right. Picky.
They aren't in yet.
