Nice work Bill, and reminds me of the RAF Wessex I was working on a few years back, which I'll finish one day !

It's the base of the Wessex,
just without the bunson burner out front!

Now my dilemma is to use the inside wall of the kit?
Because the ASW version had "sound proofing" so to speak, lining the outsides and overhead.
I can eliminate that thickness and just fab the surrounds of the door and windows.
I'll use the Crayon air dry kid stuff again as I did on the H-3A in another GB.

Since I Am going to pad the cell, so to speak,
I am framing the openings for depth.
Ain't easy!!!!!!
I cut 2mm wide strips from .42mm thin sheet.

First photo wasn't too bad for the large door opening, the trim fit on the INside of the opening.

Second photo the window on the left is a different story, it's on the wall, to allow inserting the glass.
I did this one by making a little block with a radius corner, doing one corner at a time.
Discovered if I touched the corner with Tamiya thin cement, the corner broke.
Needed a different tack.

Third photo I pre-stressed the thin sheet strip, the curled piece.
I also stuck a piece of 1mm x 1mm square Evergreen along the edges.
Now glueing the edge touching the 1x1 strip, wait till set,
then make the radius and glue along the edge ONLY, not the radius,
hold this in place till set, and repeat......
Glad this is now done!!!!!!

So the amount of detail I am doing is only because it's my old squadron.
I just want the three I am doing, two are done, will be worth showing.
Doing little detail things like I am doing are not all that difficult,
once you have gone thru the trauma of doing your first one.
It does become easier.
So..... lack of any detail........ and a bit of detail
