So the buttoning up process is underway.
The gussets for the exhaust (?) flashing is a bit klunky,
so I'm modifying it.
Just got the hoist blue tacked in place to glue on the supports.
Engine will go in for the final piping!
Arrrrrrrgh.

Then when you think you've done enough.....
you juuuuust haaaaave to open one more picture!
So the main gear strut, could not for the life of me figure how it's supposed to attach.
Then I see this!!!!!

The backing plate for brakes and strut mounting........

So I have been to my "spray booth"
a lazy susan, homemeade by Someone, 2 bucks at Vinnies.
Managed to get ONE of my many inop airbrushes to "work" so I got the orange down
MM1988 engine gray all over.................... successsssssss.
Just have to mask the top of the tail to go gray Wheels can get attached.
I'm on the downturn!!!!

I'm learning to hate Model Master spray enamels.....
Soooo bloody much PAINT!!!!!!
It just runs and runs.
Good I have a car painters trick!
 
So I have finally painted the tail....
or should I say pulled out half my hair Masking this bugger.
No more heliocapeters!
Clearcoat, decals, some odds n ends to attach.
And the Engine!!!!!
