Remember Father Christmas is watching you
I've been working on and off as time will have so here is an update.
First to make the AM AB cans set to the same height as the kit ones a I added a double layer of sheet plastic to the bottoms
I have or had some seam work to do and clean up of the aftermarket exhaust cans. The lower aft section of the aircraft is stainless steel and KH did a nice job of sectioning the fuselage as upper and lower with the very aft being a left right connection. The fit is very good in the with the very aft section. the upper lower mid fuselage is a little less but is well engineered in that the wing covers over 90% of the seam. For this I do give KH koodo's. The very aft section side by side required a little bit of attention and as it is metal I have used a 200, 600, 1000, 4000 grit sanding series and I may need to do more to clean the 200. but it is working. I have done the same or am still in the works on the AB cans. The side I am not as worried as it will be painted in a SEA camo and the scratches will be covered up, though I have to a lesser extent followed the same sandin procedures, I have 32K, 4K, 6K and 12K to polish it out as needed, but it's a lot of time consuming work so it is as needed.
