**** DONE: GB-50 1/72 Ki-100-1 Otsu - Zombie Build

I bought this at a show and never had more than a brief glance at the contents. When I finally got round to opening the box to start the build I realised that while it said high back on the box the fuselage was a low back version. I tried everywhere to get a replacement canopy until I recently built a Dragon Meteor FIII and spotted the unused canopy rear might fit.

So guessing someone has a low back box with a high back fuselage in it.

Still a bit of filing to fit but that can wait until I have the fuselage glued up.

It won't be perfectly like the original canopy but it's a way of rescuing a shelf zombie.

On a forum it's easy to swap engines, wings, armament and fuel tanks. The idiot designers who had to make things take off fly and land somehow never found it so easy. If only greasy spotty mouth breathing internet heroes were in charge the world would be a better place.

Thanks. I think I still need to shave a bit off the front of the rear section to lower it a fraction but I need to be careful I don't want to lose any of the length. I have to keep in mind that my putting on file has gone missing.

I have had to do a fair bit of chopping and sanding to get the cockpit to fit in the fuselage. Now I just need to fit seat belts before I zip it up, can anyone confirm that the standard Japanese three point harness would have been used for this model.
