I can post anything else needed here so let me know.
Thanks Andy, I think there's enough to be going on with meantime. My build will be OOTB and the kit does come with reasonable details many of which will disappear when the fuse is buttoned up.

Cheers Greg

This weekends progress has been good. I am working on the gun turrets, and landing gear bays which are very fiddly due to the scale. All in all it's going well.

Plenty of internal detail all of which will disappear once the fuse is joined.

Thanks for looking

A bit of progress has been made with the Wellington. This is the first Trumpeter kit I have built and I have to say it's a bit fussy in terms of the engineering. The wheel bays were a pain to assemble and getting them between the wing halves was a challenge. Ditto joining the fuse, which needed tape, clamps and lots of harsh language .

Despite all that the main assembly is approaching completion. Take a look at the fabric effect in the pics of the wings, too heavy handed?

More soon I hope. Thanks for looking

The geodesic pattern does seem a bit overdone and appears to be a scaled down version of their 1/48 kit.
I agree Andy. The fabric effect looks a bit over done. Maybe a few layers of paint will tone it down. I'm not sure which kit was first 1/72 or the 1/48

More progress to show...

Wings on, stabs on, and engines attached. I am currently laying down some tamiya NATO black on the underside. Hopefully I will have the uppers done by the end of the weekend.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers Greg
