When I looked at that first picture on my monitor I thought 'Oh my god, it's broken' but then I had a proper look a saw it was the glare of the white paper against the dark brown paint. Its coming on nicely Glenn.

The white winter camo has been distressed buy wet sanding with 800 grit sandpaper

I started work on most of the smaller bits

And lastly I made op the tail ski using the kits tail skid, a bit of plastic sheet and some thick CA. It doesn't exactly math the pictures in post #15 but the thing is so tiny, (that's a tweezer holding it) that was the best I could do and I think its close enough

All the small bits are done and ready to glue on.

The main gear. I added duel hydraulic lines made from thin copper wire that power the closeting actuator.

The canopy painted and will be dull coated with the rest of the plane, and the propeller assembly with the cannon drilled out.

The pitot tube made from aluminum tube and brass wire which will be painted after installation, the radio mast which has been thinned down, the tail skid after a dark wash, and the 4 guns made from hypodermic needles.

The tail has been glued back on and the panel lines darkened with a thin black wash. All the decals were put on but even though there were not many of them, it took quite a while as they are old Hobbycraft decals whish take forever to soak off the backing paper and then have to be glued down with Future. Not to mention that all 6 national insignia were split in two because of the swastika.
It all turned out well in the end (with a bit of touch up paint) and every thing was sealed with Future
