My wife and daughter who between them seem to eat up most of my spare time are in Florida for a week so I'm hoping I can get a lot done on this one this week.

Progress over the last couple of days.

All the filling and sanding completed and the canopy on, masked, and ready for paint

White painted on all areas that will be yellow plus the white "1" on the tail

The yellow and white '1' masked, the horizontal tail surfaces and radiator installed, and the blue-gray underside sprayed on. (the masking on the yellow wingtips already pulled off)

And what it looked like after taking off the masking. I got a but carried away with peeling off the masking and should have left the yellow covered for the winter white camo so I'll be putting that back on.

Over 2 hours of masking, ten minutes of spraying and a twenty minutes to pull the masks off. If you look closely you can see the horizontal tail surfaces came off with the masks. Very weak attachment points and very sticky blue tac.
This has been one of the most challenging masking jobs I've ever done, but that's all done now and tomorrow I'll start destressing the white winter camo.
