Well after fighting the Monogram kit (don't get me wrong It's a good kit but it's 50 years old and shows it's age), The GWH is almost a let down. It fit's with little effort.
If you've followed the other Devastator build you'll note I had to add card stock and other curse words in the wing root. Not so here, Oh my. If you want to build this historical aircraft, GET THE GWH KIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did have a lip on the bottom that needed some filling less I sand it to paper thin, I call this my fault....

Thanks guys, well started spitting paint on this bird. I started with AK acrylic light grey (Light Gull Grey FS 16440) for the bottom.
I then shot the AK Lt Blue Grey for the top
Looked too blue and less grey. so I switched to Vallejo PRU Blue
Oops, sorry got hungry there, so As I was saying
You can really see the hue difference look at the tail.

At 0120 local I received a phone call from my sister. I knew when her ring tone went off what had happened. I lost my mother a mere five minutes earlier. I've been honored to have her for 63 years which is far more than many but it still is a shock. Luckily I'm near finished with this.
