Oh I remember that kit when I was a kid. Shep Paine did a diorama of it. Mine turned out like hell ! Looking forward to this one.

I've started it twice. First in the late 80's nothing fit, it was twisted warped and uncompromising. I did another one about ten years ago, yellow wings USS Wasp and it was with out issues. We shall see.

I think I was twelve ? Painted with those little squarish bottles of testors and a paint brush. Hinges broke the first time I tried folding the wings. Canopy looked like it was painted with a roller by someone trying to qualify for the special Olympics !

I won't say how old I was, it was my demob year and I still have some of those little old square bottles of Testor paints, they come in very hand at times.

Always attracted to builds that have yellow AND red. Should be a stunner (3rd time around?). I'm especially excited to see how those 'little people' color in!

We don't do little people. Think it has to short people and the cars they drive.

Some where I think I have one but I ordered this from Scott's Model Works, aka Dauntless Hobbies aka Rebelalpha.

Anyway, most of you know this already and as such you can tell me im wrorg or whatever ( getting used to everyone wanting to argue), the tail colors denote the Air wing. The tail and nose colors are as a rule the same but if I recall correctly the nose paint denotes the position of the aircraft. Lower half, upper half or whole ring. There is also the wing stripes.

I know most if not all have seen the movie Dive Bomber. If not, find it and put on your sunglasses and watch.

The planes that meet the criteria for this build are VT-2, 3, 5, & 6.
