Made a start today (a week on I know but we went a bit Commonwealth Games heavy here being so close to Birmingham \\:D/ )

Steps 1- 9 assembled and ready for priming tomorrow :)

Really cannot get over how there is more to add to the interior of this Mk.Vc in 72nd than there was to the 48th PR.XIX!

Thank you all :)
Unfortunately with the heat going up again here it is becoming hard to model make once more but I have managed a dry fit of the cockpit tub and did get it primed with Tamiya Surface Primer (Fine)

Thank you, the rising temperatures recently prevented me from working on this but it has cooled again and I am back to it!

Calamity the kit called for Humbrol 78 for the interior and this is what I found opening the pot!

Vallejo to the rescue with the interior Green Grey from the BoB paint set

My new best friends assisted me in placing the transfer for the instrument panel, why didn't I try Micro set and sol before I will not know but it is witchcraft! 🧙‍♀️

The fuselage closed up around the cockpit tub and propeller mount. It fought me around the cockpit tub but I took my time and glued as I went around and it closed up nicely and allowed it to have it's need to bend the fuselage out to meet the wing roots

The wings were an issue, the wheel well walls I found to be too tall which caught me out on the first one hoping glue and clamping would get it together well, which to be fair it did mostly save for that bit in front of the flap in the right of the last picture. Also I had to trim the detail inside the wheel well to allow walls to fit more flush in, you can see where I have done this on the upper wing section in the middle picture.

Wings attached and looking alright if I do say so myself.

Vokes Tropical Air filter on and it is at this point I realise in time that leaving the propeller off until I have the teeth transfer on will be an advantage.

That takes me up to stage 20 not a bad session all in all

and to my eyes definitely looking Spitfire shaped!

Thank you for all your kind words so far :)
