The innards. Apparently one is able to build any P-47 from the P-47D-25 to the P-47D-40 as well as the early P-47M which had no dorsal extension. Gonna have to source some red bars for the insignia

Nice and odd-ball. I might have some proper insignia decals for you but not sure of the dimensions. In any event, they would be pretty old but I will gladly send them.

Thanks for the kind offer Andy but I think I'm set. I found the correct size "Stars and Bars" on an F-84 sheet (1) and I can trim the underscore of the "Z" for the fuselage marking (2)
