I received my Kits world decals set KW148224 today from RebelAlpha on evilebay. The decals that came with the Lone Star conversion did not have the wheel hub decals, Luckily the Kits World set did. Note the yellow arrow and circle. Also not that this aircraft did not have an antenna mast (red arrow). With all the discussion on Andy's P-38 I though it only prudent to cover the same issue here. When the P-47's fist went on a mission it went badly , it was found that poor communications between the British and the USAAF was largely to blame. The USAAF switched there radios to the British radios and the mast was not used.

Some aircraft did retain then though as can clearly be seen in the photo below...

Don, something looked odd to me concerning the main gear legs, and their angles. They looked too "vertical" and cambered inwards. So I had a closer look, and saw that, although the gear doors are correct, the legs are back to front, that is, the port one is on the starboard side, and vice versa.
The torque links should be at the front, and the legs angled forward, hanging vertically.
Hopefully you can correct this before the end of the GB and judging.

Well Terry was a usually correct, The scissors switch got to the front not the aft.

had to break the gear off and drill holes in the gear and gear mount.
