So I've gotten most of the engine mounting struts and asunder installed.
Air circulation vents and filters and I am assuming the oil tank, (these things go through a LOT of erl..... That's Texan fur erl, er, um oil)

I'm not really even close to mounting but I did a test fit...

Looks like it's ready to fire up.
 
So much work and detail went into the engine and mounts and all I didn't want to hide it all permanently so I picked up some taking putty to put on the aft cowling.

It wasn't easy to work with and it just a hair thick for what I wanted but it seems to have pressed down fairly well for my purposes. I toyed with the thought of magnets but that too was not much help as there is little room to mate them.
 
Great idea Don, it would be a shame to hide all that lovely detail.
Just thinking too, that maybe a few drops (sparingly) of PVA in strategic places (corners maybe) would do the trick of holding them in place, but not so strong that you couldn't prise them open if you wanted to remove them. Should come off fairly clean too, unlike polystyrene cements.
 
I like the idea Don and Evan may have a good point with the PVA, I suppose it all depends on how well the panels sit. :thumbright: :D
