So now I am confused!
By this photo, I test fit the Ailerons for gaps. Can you see what leads to my confusion?
There are stubs that fit into locating holes, yes? Now in the early P-40 days were they used as flaps?
Cuz when I was flying my little C-150, N4521U, Ailerons worked in opposite directions, one up,
one down............................... hmmmmm. How do you think Trumpeter got that so wrong???????

Not surprising really. Fix em like you can.
The flaps are the flaps and the ailerons are the ailerons. I doubt the H-81A pilot used them as the flaps. The Trumpeter model is full of errors that's true. The problem seems to be caused by the shape of the stubs that don't fit to their slots correctly. So it is a matter of fitting rather.

So I got it one up, one down.........
Nearing buttoning her up.
Cockpit is painted, wings fitted.
Barrel holes sorted, just some
itty bitty gaps and close up!
Then the exterior!

Now fitting the front windscreen! It is rather a bugger, just no registration surface.
A lot of filing, gently and gradually to get both surfaces to match. More than an hour.

It would have been a bit draughty with that gap not to mention the possible high pitched whistle at some 500+ km/h. Nice work Bill.

Thanks guys.
Did some masking today, all glass parts ready for paint.
They've all been given the "floor polish" treatment.
I'm just waiting on the lighter camo color to paint first.
Going with a more brown light tone and a muddier green mix.
