Thanks for the defence, but understood no foul intended. For all concerned, a thank you, and looks like a return home Monday. There were no major issues, back surgery caused right leg to be unresponsive, so needed PT before it was safe to be released.

Finally getting some bench time. Thought I'd practice on the weathering that will be needed for this bird. I coated the paint mule with the 100% blue color, then mixed in some 'lite-ish' gray, about 50/50. Did not see much of a change. So I went to an approximate 20% blue with the rest a light gray. Subtle for sure, but can see some differences on the tops of the fuselage where I concentrated the paint. I backed away and misted the wings and the upper sides of the fuselage with the same 20-80 mix. Almost too subtle though. Either the blue is to light or the weathering affect will be more pronounced with a clear coat? I did shield the starboard side rudder surface and the stabilizer area after the 100% blue coat. Not sure this color difference will show as dramatically as the box art depiction of fresh vs weathered?

That doesn't look to bad Ralph, and depending on the angle of the light one can see the difference in the shading. It's a subtle job your trying and its more in the wing roots, cockpit side and ammo hatches that you'll get most ware. :thumbright: :D
