The project will be an early Spitfire IX (Merlin 63 engine) serial MA568, coded FNoL flown by Norwegian Ace Svein Heglund.

Spinner damaged by a part of the Fw 190 he downed the 16 August 1943, 331 Sqn's 100th victory and the 8th for Heglund...

Nice one. Good thing he's not sporting the difficult thin blue/white/red rings on the spinner seen on some later war Norwegian flown aircraft.

Good fix Steph. One of the reasons mine is still in the box. I'm going to post this photo on all the Spitfire builds; its something I found out about at Britmodeller and a Google image search will find more, a lot in colour. So far I've seen this up to the Mk.IX. The base colour of the antenna mast

Hello,

Second Shiden-Kai finished, so I can work on this project more seriously...
Work on the port side of the cockpit and pilot's place with a mix of ICM kit parts, Eduard photo-etched parts and Hesegawa kit parts + Ultracast resin seat.
