Get your paint thin, the pressure as low as your airbrush can take it, and get in close.

Many thanks for passing through and the comments guys. Have had little activity since my last post but did put on a bit of a spurt today and made a start on the smoke rings. Lovely decal but my goodness they are so thin and fragile.

Vic, you're making a great model and you can't leave this cowling wrong.
It was in one piece, so divided into two it is wrong and it is a very visible piece.
Combine them and leave everything open or everything closed, but not like this.
Italeri made a serious mistake on this piece.
You still have time before to put the smoke rings in the fuselage.

Thanks Berny, indeed the kit dose provide two parts for this covering and I did so want to show the engine detail, but you are right, I should fit it and will do so even f only temporarily for the GB.

you can't detach the piece already assembled and then glue it with the other? ... So you would see more engine.
But maybe it is too late for that.
