I will be building 'Glop Glop', a Lightning of the 431st​ squadron, 475th​ Fighter Group operating in the south-west pacific. The 475th​ website as well as the Superscale decal set lists it as being flown by Lt. F.E. Fenton. I could not find any other information or pictures on the aircraft so any info you guys might have would be appreciated.

a thick semiliquid substance (such as food) that is usually unattractive in appearance. 2. : tasteless or worthless material.

And more in slang ( and seeing the nose art this is what is ment )

Thanks for the explanation. I'd have never have known the slang or tied it in with the nose art. Much appreciated
 
I started in on it last night. The main gear well boxes were a bit tricky as they were warped. The boom sections went together very nicely though, the only strange thing was that one side of each boom seemed to be cast in a different plastic that had a yellow color as can be seen in the picture and was more brittle.
