Done with painting for the most part. I used liquid latex once again as a masking fluid. The stuff is awesome. Way better than any commercial masking fluid I've tried. I just rubs off with your finger. I few glitches, One of the meatballs is off center and I broke the tip off one of the stabilizers that vaporized when it hit the floor. So a bit of touch up and a bit of repair.
I sprayed the green, painted on the mask, then sprayed the brown, painted on the mask and then the final coat of aluminum.

That is really sharp, Graham. What's the name of your masking fluid? I've heard some don't work but yours definitely did It's called "Fiber-Tek latex rubber" one litre bottle. I originally bought it for making molds and it also works great for simulating skin for rubber masks, the ones you wear.

Thanks everyone ! Now regarding Fiber Tek Liquid Latex. I use to use it for making molds and sculptures and so on. I worked as a transmission rebuilder as a trade. Your probably wondering what the two have to do with each other. Well it was common to get cuts on your fingers now and then. We had one guy who would carry on like someone gutted him if he got the tiniest cut so we decided to prank him. I made a copy of my finger and made it look like it got "removed". Now we figured he'd faint or throw up but instead he ran to the office and phoned 911. When we told him it wasn't real he just hung up, I learned something that day. If you hang up on a 911 call they dispatch the police. Well the RCMP shows up and they were pretty POed at first but after we explained ourselves they thought it was pretty funny.

The camo paint job is looking great. I wish there was a clear photo of this Kate from IJN Hiryu to support those tail markings.

From what I've read there was no Kate with BII-315 markings that flew over Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941.

I looked for pictures with not much luck so I just went with the instructions and the box art. The Hasegawa colour callout is confusing as well so I ended up matching the colours as close as I could to the box art.
