Yup, the Renault was a two person tank, but was built as a fast manoeuvrable thing for massed strike attacks, rather than the slow land ships that defined the tank of the day. It was the father of the modern tank, with its 360 degree rotatable turret, engine in the back and crew layout, as well as its role as a fast tank. It was also the first tank to be licence produced in sizeable numbers abroad. The French tactician who instigated their construction advocated using them in large numbers for lightning strikes against enemy positions in advance of infantry, effectively inventing the concept of what would eventually be known as Blitzkrieg tactics.
